Like most of our sets on Tomb Raider, I built this set out in Blender. This one was large and particularly asset-heavy. It was one of the cleanest 3D builds I did and required less paintover than most.
This environment was the most challenging set I worked on for Tomb Raider. This was mainly because we had so many rounds of edits and copyright clearances for all of the artifacts (most of which weren't even seen in the show.) It was still a fun challenge to make a clean and arguably mundane space into something interesting. The dinosaur skeleton in particular was a fun challenge. I ended up sculpting him in VR (Medium).
